I think Mercedes Benz Silver is the new black. That makes three of us on here that have used that color that I know of and Cody is planning on using it.

I agree, My aunt just bought a new Mercedes around a year ago with the same color. I love the way that silver glistens in the sun. I never thought to paint my car that color until I saw how beautiful Keepats 68 was.  I was going to leave it the original color, B7.  :icon_smile_big:

I hope this isn't a stupid question - I just finished spraying my first job myself.  I did the engine compartment, trunk inside and door jambs.

I did NOT mask these when I sprayed the rest of the car.  I thought I wouldn't need to and I didn't want a masking line.

Well, now I am spending a dozen hours sanding to get the shine back on!

I am curious if you guys would mask these areas before spraying the rest of the car and if so, is there concern about a masking line??

Concern for tapes lines, all a matter of opinion, some care, some do not, do you care? If so then paint these areas with the rest of exterior with the trunk & doors & hood removed. Tape off engine compartment at line where it meets Fender, ect. LEON.

DPL

LEON, when you put it like that...I don't really care!

I'll take that advice to my next project, a 1970 6 pack super bee.
