Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

69bronzeT5

It sounds good too with the headers and new exhaust  I cleaned out the trunk, starting tearing out the carpet and cleaning the seats and door panels.

Cody, I'm very happy for you!  Don't rush anything!  ...and always remember when cleaning, start with mild cleaning agents first, then step up to harder ones as needed.  :Twocents:

Cody, use a shop vac to vacuum up all the pine needles in the engine compartment and trunk jamb area ASAP... this causes serious rust. Also make sure you remove all rubber plugs, and clear out the lower fender area, and don't forget between the front door opening and cowl. Also clear out anywhere where water can settle from pine needle clogging (including removal of the door trim panels to vacuum the inside of the doors).....this is a serious rust issue waiting to happen! Looks like the floor is shot, and you may have already have a windshield leak due to drainage problems?  :shruggy: Whatever has rotted the floor needs to be fixed before you get new carpet.  :yesnod:

Otherwise, roll up your sleeves, and get to work on your first Major Mopar project!! We're proud of you son.  :2thumbs:

Haven't gotten that far with the pictures yet ;)

Floor pans. They are pretty good. The trunk is perfect, the rear pans are perfect too. There's just some holes in the front which are a pretty easy fix.

Fairly new exhaust. The frame is perfect.

Congrats Cody.  Looks good.   I know someone that could use the white upper door panels,  :whistling: . Looks good.

Cool....brings back the memories. Looks like the car had a couple inches of water standing in it at one time. I would at least install fron floor pans.  :2thumbs:

I agree, floor pans are not that hard to install compared to quarter panels.  :brickwall:

Did you find anything interesting when you removed the seats and carpet?

Also, I never saw "plymouth" emblems on the front fenders like that. All 1973-1976 Dusters I've ever seen had the "Duster" emblem as on the tail panel.
