So they have 4 Daytona's listed as being up for sale on their website, and I don't think any of them are realistically priced. I know for sure the blue 4 speed one they list isn't worth $495K, and neither is the other 440 car they have listed for $450K. Those figures are both at least 4 times too high for those cars.

do you and others think it and not the barn find is the rarest daytona in existence?

That is a tough and very subjective question to answer.  There are probably several 440 and Hemi Daytonas that qualify for "One of One" status, making them just as "rare" as the X9 HemiDaytona that went to England.  With only 22 4-speed HemiDaytonas ever produced, many of the ones in existence now can claim to be just as rare as that car.  Several of them actually have more options than that X9 car, with the more famous one being the former Dave Jones F8 car now for sale at some astronomical price at the same Neosho, MO dealership.  The T5/white stripe car that Dana Mecum now owns is pretty rare in its own right too.

It's almost a waste of time to debate which particular car is the "rarest" and/or most desirable.  Heck, most of us have a list of appendages we would give up in order to own any 4-speed HemiDaytona.  Who cares what color or option package it has.  You have to take the information in any sales pitch, such as that Neosho dealership's writeup, with a grain of salt (no offense intended, Doug - your dealership's stuff is at least accurate even if we sometimes :rotz: or  :hah: at the prices)

I think that the write up for the dealership, is trying to imply that the other Green HEMI Daytona they have is the rarest 4 speed Daytona produced. Then again, of all the 26 known HEMI Daytona's how many of them are actually 4 speeds? What 11-12? Aren't they all 1 of 1. I mean even the 2 X9 Black HEMI Daytona's are both 1 of 1 due to different interior colors.

69_500

As far as the HEMI 500 that Radke had, it was just up for sale not too long ago on Ebay, as well as being present at Carlisle 2 years ago. R4 red, white interior, white tail stripe. Although current owner has installed a black interior in the car, it was a factory match to mine.

Hey  thanks for the info and your informative views. I just thought that being black was the most desirable and rarest color for a hemi 4-speed daytona.  but there are some rare color combos and options for sure . hey I would give my little toe for one  that is the only appendage I can spare.    I thought my buddies 69 gtx convert w factory cruise control was rare at one time.  thank god for the clone route, only way I will ever own one.
