Standard in 66, 67, and 69.  Most 70's too I think?

Did the the real low end base model 70's get them?  (the XH models)

No idea but it would be a easy part!They come up on EBAY every now and then and get around 50 bucks.

Ghoste

The thing with the repro's is that as far as I know, they are only reproducing one of them and in 1969 there were two types used, a shallow one and a deeper one.  Not sure which one is being repopped.  I believe the 66-67 style ones are also being repro'd now.

Ghoste

The place repopping the 69-70 style is;

IF you do go with that company, be very careful as there were two different versions of the cover and tail light housing.  There was a narrow version which Chris' orange charger shows and then there is a deeper version which my car has.  RMC ONLY REPRO'S THE NARROW VERSION!!!!!  When I returned it since it didn't fit, they tried to give me a hard time especially when the guy outright told me when I was returning it that there were two versions yet never told me this when I placed the original order.

Ghoste

Out of curiousity Brian, did they mention if they were going to one day do both versions?

resq302

No the said they were only doing the narrow type version.  From what I have seen, the narrow type version is the more common.  My car is a late 69 built car (may 9th) so I guess it was a mid year change over or something.  Funny thing is that MoparJohn's car is built 3 days before mine and his is the narrow version.  Same build plant and all, just 3 days apart yet his has the long style front bumper guards. :scratchchin:

Im curious now.....let me look in the parts book to see if they actually list 2 different covers....

EDIT---after a bit of searching all I could find were 2 different bulb socket part #'s that made reference to "before April 1,1969 & After April 1, 1969"

Couldnt actually find the cover # :rotz:

I remember looking for those things in the parts book once and having a hell of a time finding them.  Out of the 67 and 69 parts book IIRC, I THINK I found one of them but not both and I can't remember which.  :shruggy:
