that picture is a transfer from a color slide, and the kid on the trailer is 33 year old me...

that's at Ed and Terri Anderson's old place in the Grand Rapids area.  That's their son Eric on the tractor.  Our B5 car is on the left and Terri's (I THINK) yellow car painted petty blue is on the right.  her car overheated religiously and almost made our car look reliable!  hers was a 6 pack/auto on the floor car.  we have more pictures of Dad pulling her air cleaner during a parade to restart the car with ether after it stalled out a bunch of times.

that was a pretty neat group my dad could call together on short notice--the Andersons with their blue car, Mike and Joyce Partridge with their yellow/white 6 pack auto bird, Jim Unger and his two blue birds, Terry Roelofs with his Hemi Daytona, John Borzych with his yellow and orange birds, Mike Higgs with his orange bird and more.  we all lived in SW Michigan/NW Indiana.  Dad was a well liked large guy with a big voice--you had to really want to tell him no when he called for a car show.

there are more old slides on my Flickr page with the old cars--

Very cool picture collection.. Especially here....... I can see Dana there among all those wings.....  Pettybird, which one's yours? The one in front of the Blue Oval Ford?

yep--those stupid black fender scoops stand out like a sore thumb.

we do nothing but answer questions about why they're black (the previous owner sprayed them with Krylon black from K mart in 1973) but we're going to keep them as it makes it a snap to find the car in pictures...
