I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

That one's been off the road since the mid to late 70's.     I think we have a pic from the former owners back yard.   It's from the northeast, but has been traded around a time or two in the last five years.    Looks like a lot of car to work with.

10 minutes with a rag and some quick detailer would go a LONG way towards justifying the price.

right after putting the nose back on, anyway...

Not much has changed on this old girl since the 70's.     Here is a photo of the car in Richard Leith's Massachusetts back yard dated October 1978.   Leith owned three Birds.  The Tor-Red one is U0A181270.  He bought it with a blown engine, crunched fender and nose.    He says he bought replacements out of a Maine salvage yard which explains why the nose is still off the car and the non numbers engine.

The yellow car is V0A171593 and was his driver.   The third Bird was U0A171610 and had a burned out interior.    All three were sold to a dealer about five years ago, maybe a little longer.

Would it be worth the asking price if Uncola Pete had ever farted in the seat?

if you had pics of him sitting there, grimacing, I know I'd pay more.

I was the second owner of this vehicle, after 1999 with the sale to Carroll Street Auto, the research history of this vehicle might come to an end.  After recovering almost 30 years history of ownerships of this vehicle, it would be amazing to get all of this vehicles history up to date.

Is that more appropriate?  Carroll Street Auto is a well know business in Manchester, NH and is still open for business today.

i would think that removed what he was questioning.  the issue wasn't the dealership, it was the private individual

Well, I guess this Bird (RM23V0A171593) has been buried.  There has been no mention of any news beyond 1999.

What was the asking price when it was on Ebay?

AKcharger

Back in '09 I think it was like $9000
