UFO

A couple aero cars were in town for the show.
It's a good day when you can check out(or is that stare at?) a couple sweet rides and chat with the owners Jim and Jerry. Both are members on here as well.

UFO

The 500 is T5.

Jim's Daytona looks awsome. Can't wait to  :drool5: :drool5: :drool5: over it in person.

I'm sure I"ll catch them at a show or 2 this year, and wear their ears out with questions. Like I usually do. Jim and Jerry and their wives are some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life.

If you are talking about the Martin who had a lot of mopar musclecars,I knew of him.Only met him once or twice.

Yes. He was my wifes cousin. He had a huge place north of Winnipeg out in the boonies. I was out there a few times. Last time I was there was about a year before he passed away. Must have been around 30 Mopars ( mainly 2nd Gen Chargers and E-bodies) in a field plus three quonset huts filled with more cars either restored, in the process of being restored or waiting restoration. A couple of Hemi cars, an A12 6 pack car etc etc. He had a 70 R/T Charger 6 pack I was bugging him to sell me. Also had 2 vipers as I recall. He hooked up with a girl for about a year who moved in with him and then he passed away. I tried to get in touch with her but to no avail. No idea what she did with all those cars and parts. He had a huge semi-trailer full of parts....saw quite a few hemi blocks, Dana axles etc etc. Place was a mess but was a Mopar goldmine. I have pictures (non digital) of the place. I couldn't find it again if I tried....was very secluded. Shame really. He had a 340 Cuda that won at Wold of Wheels years and years ago...Red if I recall.

Hello,,,UFO,,,We made it home,,thru fog, ice, snow.rain, wind,, We were treated great by everone,,,(except judgeing staff) Thanks to everbody in Winnipeg.
Dont think there will be any gold strip's put on the car. Cost to much to get it black!!!!!   When we unloaded at convention center was first time anyone had saw the car.
When I bought the car, I promist everbody that helped me, that I would rebuild and bring it back to Canada,,neever thought it would take so long.
In the bitch department,,,I think we were totally left out of the Sun,,program,,,we got our judgeing sheet after awards, and all of the box's on left side of sheet that are for numerical score were BLANK, How can you compare car's without a score on one?????  End of bitch dept;  Anyway it was a big hit with the public and their very complementary comments. Thats what we will remember.    3--daytona

I would rather get a thumbs up from a stranger than a remark from a judge.
Too bad you guys had to go thru some crappy weather.
I should have spend more time chatting with you and Jerry but there are a LOT of car people here.
There are some better pics on this site.
