I finished my "Cloned" Daytona jack today...

While it's not 100% Authentic, I think I came pretty close  :scratchchin:

A few cool things that I like about it:

I didn't have to mortgage the house to pay for it. :coolgleamA:

I can ACTUALLY change a tire with it without worrying about scratching a priceless heirloom :2thumbs:

Here's a couple of pictures:

The Daytona jack is unique, and repros are really expensive. :yesnod: He made his own.  :icon_smile_big:

Looks plenty good to me.  :2thumbs:
That reminds me...I have to find time to alter my jacks that I bought on e-bay.
One for the tona clone and one for the bird clone.

moparstuart

I have no mad fabrication skills like chris so i bought mine . But pete does a great job of making them for you .
didnt paint my jack up pretty yet , it makes it look older and maybe more real  ?   Wingnut Pete also makes the hold down and the handle .

GO SELL CRAZY SOMEWHERE ELSE WE ARE ALL STOCKED UP HERE

No, it's the Larry that thinks that if looks good enough from 10 feet away, then it's good enough.

the jack looks excellent . it looks orange-y . is it just the camera shot ? cause there suppose to be red.

here's mine , it still needs paint  . i got a total of $19. in it . $9 for the jack from ebay and $10 shipping . the modifications-----------------priceless .   :icon_smile_big:

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

What does your jack handle look like?
I'll bet that I've thrown away a dozen handles that would have passed well enough for a clone.
Now I need a couple of them.  :'(

Thanks, Rene'! It's just my crappy camera, it's really red red red in real life. As a matter of fact it's Ford farm tractor red in a spray can from the local Rural King supply store :2thumbs:

You've got me beat on the price, counting the cost of the paint I think I've got $25 tied up in this one... :coolgleamA:

And a BUNCH of time  :RantExplode:

Larry, Here's a picture of my jack handle.

Not 100% correct, but it's close enough for me.

90% of the people will never know.

The other 10% will get a trunklid slammed on the back of their neck when they stick their head that far into my trunk to take a closer look  :smilielol:

My jack handle is from a mid to late 1990's Jeep Cherokee... :2thumbs:

I'll bet MoparStuart has a hundred of them right now... :scratchchin:

hotrod98

He probably has like a hundred and I only need two. What's wrong with that picture?
But I do have something that he doesn't have...a lot of his parts for his Daytona clone sitting in my shop.
For some reason, the word "Ransom" keeps popping into my head. But I think that's because I breathed in a whole lot of bondo dust today.
