hmm - apparently my vintage Wieand 1964 Max Wedge 2x4 ntake doesn't fit my Hemi mock-up block, but you still get the idea how the twin turbos will be connected. Still plan on dropping the motor another 1", combined with the 2" gap between the intake and the Hemi block, I am still thinking I can fit this whole deal under a flat hood.  ;D

Time for a few more pics. I went to Indy Saturday to check on my clone progress.

Obviously "chassis time" is sort of like "football minutes". After repeated promises to have the car done "soon", I have yet to get the car home. Supposedly it needs another 20-30 hours of welding work to be "rolling". Using the past rate of progress, I am guessing that means sometime in the next year. Of course this does not include mounting the front fenders or nose, installing wheel tubs and tin work, all of which I have decided to postpone until I can get the car back home and find a more timely shop.

Meanwhile, there has been notable progress with the rest of the cage.
Sure hope it gets completed before I am too old to fit through all the door bars! LOL

Passengers will have to be pretty nimble as well.

Interesting work on the dash area. Believe it or not, he reported the dash could still be removed.

Rear end is not yet in place, but the 4-link bars and wishbone were being built while I was there.

Front sub-frame is now attached and I was quite happy with the mid plate support.

He even left enough room to install a headliner above the cage. (Barely)

the story i just heard was yes it will, but where is still up for grabs. they are looking at places and could be just show and swap meet if the track isnt available. supposed to be several lined up to buy the track, but the taxes issue is putting a hold on everything.

In St.Louis?  NO

Rescheduling it elsewhere will likely reduce its size, particularly trying to advertise this late (yeah not yet March, but late for a "new" venue).

So my guess would be there is less than a 30% chance for a Monster Mopar for 2011.
