good stuff, is that chrome trim going down the middle of the car

It must be nice to have that much room to work around your Charger. You'll have lots of room for tool boxes and other assorted misc. on the man door side of the shop too. That's the perfect size for a one car project and not bad for storing a pair of finished cars if needed.

Ive so got Garage envy. Especially since I dont have one and having to keep my car at the parents house.  Nice Chandalier! ;)

My advice, put a power plug every 4 feet on the walls at about 4 foot high. you will never look for power again. thats what I did when we built my garage, also every 4 foot on the roof ;)

Same here and I will again when I do the new shop... Don't forget your welding, A/C and compressor plugs..  ;)

I am just finishing up a 26 x 26 shop and have 16 20 amp plugs at 4 ft tall except for two lower ones on the garage door side as I figured there would never be anything in the way there and did not want cords too high in that area. I installed 2 - 220 volt 40 amp lugs for compressor and welder, pre wired a surround stereo system with outlets for plug in jacks for quick connect and also ran cable and internet in. I also installed 6 pot lights on a dimmer switch in addition to 8 fluorescent lights on 2 runs depending on how much light I want. I also wired my attic with 3 lights on a switch and built additional shelving in there for storing miscelleneous parts.  I figured I wanted everything I could think of in the Dodge Mahal/Man Cave.

I took 3 days off from work to get the siding done before the snow falls and i finished it up today aside from some touch up painting.

That looks great Paul. By the way, technically you did not finish it before the snow fell. :icon_smile_big: Can you believe we got snow last night. The team I help coach played 3 soccer games today. The first one was at 9:15 this morning. BRRRRRRR!!!!! I am going to sit here tonight and thaw out.

I know this snow sucks!  I finished my painting with oil based paint.  If i were using water based i'd be on hold till spring.  Time to bundle up for 7 months of winter.. BRRRRR!!!!   :-\

MAN! We only see snow around here every couple of years!!

Looks good Paul. I wish I would have got door with windows. At least you can work inside now. What kind of heat did you go with? You probably mentioned it but it's been a while since I read the thread.

Nice garage, looks really good  :2thumbs:  and yes winter does suck!! I can imagine it probably gets colder up there than here in Illinois.

Have you thought about some kind of alarm system.  With a detached garage It might make a tempting target.  ALso a fire alarm or automatic sprinkler system.  Groits has a small self contained Halon system that looks easy to install.

Yeah it might be a good idea to put some motion lights back there, a surveilance camera might be a bit extreme though.

I put radiant heat in the concrete when i poured the floor.  I need to buy a boiler next and insulate the inside first.  That will happen next year though, i'm broke!

I may add one in later.  Good idea, thanks.

Harbor Freight has cameras starting around 50 bucks....good investment. Just use a cheap tv for a monitor or a vcr like I do. You can't be too safe.
