UPDATE !

My friend sent me some pictures today of the progress taking place on my Daytona clone....

I've been meaning to get over to his shop and check it out for the last couple of weeks, but I've been too damned busy :brickwall:

As of today the body work on the top and rear window plug is complete and the first coats of blue primer have been applied  :2thumbs:

Here's the pictures:

My guess would be that they only primed the areas that they've been working on up to this point to prevent flash rust.
That's the way that I do it in my shop.

I am so jealous! I stopped by my shop this week and the butthead hasent started yet!!! :flame: In his defense he did have two guys leave the week my car got there so he's been shorthanded. He replaced one so far and having the second start nextweek.....so he says.

As far as the amount of filler, That caught my eye too. If they installed a plug and got away with the little bit of filler you have good guys doing the car!  :yesnod: I wouldnt have any worries with them.

Good Luck with the progress and keep us updated!  :2thumbs:
wingless now, but still around.

Why didnt they prime the whole car?

I might be wrong here... :scratchchin:

But I think the procedure is:

Do the body work, and THEN prime  :nana:

Paul, You ready to come get your Imperial yet?  :shruggy:

The longer it ages, the higher the price gets.  :nana:

Sell a kidney already and let's get on with it.  :slap: :smilielol:

I've got to give credit to the metal guy who fabricated and installed the rear window plug... :2thumbs:

Wait a minute !!!

That was ME !   :smilielol:

As far as the guy working on it now, he's a good friend of mine and a true craftsman

that's making my work look GREAT !  :notworthy:

Well this'll really blow your garage budget:

I've been watching your garage building thread, looks good, I really like it....

Until you consider the fact that you're going to have to knock out the back wall and move it back three or four feet if you want to squeeze an Imperial in there...

It was owned by a gentleman that I almost did a trade with my former '68 Hemi Charger R/T. But, I heard from reliable sources that it had lead a VERY rough life. So, I passed. I have to admit, it is a good lookin' 'Bird.....

Nope!

I talked to my friend Tuesday night.

His work load has been crazy the last couple of months, and he just now has been

able to get some free time to work on my car.

He gave me some lame excuse about paying customer's cars coming

first ?  :shruggy:
What's up with that ?  :shruggy: :slap: :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:
