I am putting together a basket case 68 Charger. Since I didn't take it apart I am not sure what I am missing putting it back together. I have spent $160 on books and still do not have a good illustration manual. Is their one available for this car? For example is there a gasket or filler that attaches to the inside of the front fender between the fender and grill. I see a lip on the fender with holes that looks like something attaches there?

I would start out with a factory service manual,Its a must!

Also, you found a great resource right here with this site. Ask whatever you need to know in the appropriate sections and you will likely find the info you need.

Yes welcome and what he said is true.  Make sure you ask in the appropriate sections.  For a year I asked questions ramdon on whatever section I was on about things not related to that section and wondered why there was never any info available?  :slap:  Also post pictures, learn how to shrink and post them like the fender issue?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Thanks for the move and the help....I will get more pictures because I am missing so many parts for this car after being apart for two years and sold. The pictures are what I started with minus I sanded and buffed the paint.

No...I purchased a service manual like you guys recommended and I don't see any pieces that go where I was asking about. I will take some more pictures tonight and post them tomorrow.

Good call Hemidog.....the first picture shows arrows pointing at the edge that I originally thought that a gasket should go but I see in the service manual nothing goes there. The second picture I see that I don't have the metal filler panels....any idea where I can get these?

Those are on my shopping list aswell, a lot of chargers lost them over the years, much easier to install the bumper without it!
