Hi all,  I took my fuel tank off my 68 charger yesterday to clean it out and noticed two brackets next to the exhaust pipes on each side  :shruggy:
Can anyone tell me what they are there for?  Cheers Phil.

Wa?  Could you explain a little more in detail.  The bumper gaurds are not connected to them? I'm missing them on my 69 I guess.
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

I thought the bracket itself was a tiedown point for transporting them?  :P

I don't think so, but I never understood that dent they've got.

So, does anyone want do shed some weight, and send them to me?  :D

I think they are meant for jack points using the large floor jacks that were popular back in the 60's (the ones that pick up the whole front or rear of the car) They come up for sale on eBay now and then.  :Twocents:
