Is the Beast that 57" hmmmmm. Got any pics of the interior?
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Dennis is a cool dude!! Very down to earth and cant wait for him to do the work on my car!

Not alot of work but its nice to see that even the big guys dont mind the smaller stuff...it definatly hasnt gone to his head. Clearly he cares not only about his business but even the little guy...means alot!

:2thumbs:

And let me not even get started on chuck with his accent again! Amazing talent. I cant wait to see his project completed...he gave me an idea on what he was working on when i was there last week.

Yeah, it's going to be awesome!! I can't wait to see it really start to take shape... I'll get every step of it on film, too..

Ok, I made a quick trip to Chuck's shop today... What I saw when I walked in blew my socks off.. This thing was a tank... No.. Literally... IT WAS A TANK... Well, almost.. Check this beast out!!!!!!!!

There's a bit of history behind this, but what I can divulge is that this was actually in the movie Saving Private Ryan!!!

Freshly restored, and having some finishing touches put on it from our boys at the shop!!

Everything on this beast is SOLID!!!

I don't think I'd want to get caught under these...

here's the traditional COOL WHEEL photo:

Check out what's "under the hood" of this beast...

Some of the new graphic work...

Chuck hard at work:

And the inside, where you aren't exactly riding in comfort, but there isn't much that'll get in your way while you're on the path!!

And here's our soldier, ready to head off to active duty... Or the asylum.

The end?? NOT YET... Hold on, there's more.

jb666

Ok --- There have been a few updates on Chuck's personal project that he's building.. I can't give away too many deails on this project YET.. but soon enough  you will all know what it is, and believe me, it'll be worth the wait... This thing will bring in some MEGA attention...

Next, Chuck's "blank canvas" tank... It's ready for it's next phase, and is gonna look cool as Hell!!

Next, on to a few shots I took next door at DMC... I was told that Dennis had purchased a new car... And wow, did he ever.. He picked his Z06 up last night and had a few friends over admiring it... I can only say one thing... it won't be the same car next week... Never mind that, it probably won't even be recognizable by the time it hits the streets... What an animal this thing is, and is GOING TO BE... But most of all, seeing Dennis this excited was really cool... This is going to be a really fun toy, and he deserves it!!

Planting narrow little 325's on the ground!!

It's one bad-ass bowtie!!!

THE END!!!!

FLG

That is SWEEETT!!

I gotta ask, who the hell drives it?? Id take it to BK and say "Hi"  :2thumbs:

Drives it? I do believe that it's longest trip has been about 100'. It's going back on display in a personal "museum" of sorts.. With other items similar to this.

Oh, it starts and runs. They can both move it around fairly easily.

The motor actually goes quite a ways into the machine... I'll try to get some more pictures, but it's due to roll out of their shop this week, so I might miss my chance.. It's such a cool beast, and they had to bring it in while everything's frozen or it would have sunk into the blacktop

jb666

Ok ok ok... I can't pull your leg on this one, and I was hoping you'd bring it up  but that's not the motor.. it's a compressor unit (Hydraulics?).. the motor is an 8 cylinder diesel and it's behind the assembly you see here...  :icon_smile_big:

Sometimes I'll slip a monkey-wrench in to see if anyone's actually watching.. I know you always are... You were right though, that little thing up front couldn't move one wheel on this thing!! I'm just bummed, I just talked to Chuck and it's leaving today or tomorrow :( so I won't get to see it done.

jb666

Today's trip to Chuck & Blair's was loaded with shots of progress. The guys have definitely been busy this week, and I was lucky enough to capture the details!!

First, the 1931 Auburn BoatTail Speedster. The body has been assembled for alignment purposes. This thing is AWESOME, and just screams STYLE!!

The "cool old wheel" shot of the week

I love the front fenders!! Ride the wave!!!

Here's the "golf door"

Hand made hinges for "golf door"

TO BE CONTINUED.........

jb666

Here's a quick shot of Chuck's latest welding helmet (under way)

Here are the "secret project" frame rails , holes filled ready to weld.

Here's the 1935 Ford --- The roof has been completely filled in... no more canvas top.

Nexy, the Dart...The car was originally cut out for 1/2 tubs, but now that it's going to be a Hemi Dart Clone they are putting the stock inner fenders in all the way against the frame rail to gain 2.5" for bigger tires. In person, the work on this car is incredible. I can't wait to see it finished.

In parting, just a couple of "step back and check out the shop' shots...

And last, on my way out, the view that Chuck & Blair are fortunate enough to see every morning and evening... What us, living in the City, wouldn't give to see this type of thing every day... It's beautiful out there!

See you next week! I hope you've enjoyed seeing these as much as I've enjoyed taking(and posting) them.

mikepmcs

Cool stuff, thanks Jeff. You sell my car yet? LOL

Hi Chuck and Blair

say "shop shots" 5 times fast.  Better yet, try to say it once. I had to spend a good couple minutes making sure I could actually pronounce each individual word as it was written in the sentence(ie: I kept reading the sentence over and over until I said it correctly) It wasn't easy.

Sorry Mike, no luck with the car(s) yet... But you really should come down this way and help promote the sale(s) in person  :nana:

Maybe in a few weeks, i still need to get that gear set to Frank.  I figured I'd bring it when I came and visited.  It looks like I'll be stuck in Maine for a little while longer. :eek2:

You still got that vette?  i'm really missing mine all of a sudden. ;D

The Vette is still in my possession, but I've reached a deal with someone so it won't be for long.

I don't really make plans but I'll be sure to let you know the day or two prior.  I need to coordinate with Dan the ding repair man in the same trip. I have a couple spots on the Challenger that I can't live with.  Damn kids!
