This car is supposed to be coming up for auction in Toronto in a couple of months.

I don't know anything else about the car at this point but if I find out I'll pass it along.

1969chargerrtse

Nice car except for the battery and exhaust tips.
Of all the pictures they could post, they post the M/C and gas cap?  How about one of the interior?
This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

maxwellwedge

I think that belongs to the owner of Stark Scrap metal Toronto or something like that.

I was hoping someone on here would recognize it.  I have no idea where it came from at all myself.

I will be able to get that in April.  This is no longer an RM auction but apparently he is going to be contracting RM staff for it.

He has been trying to sell it for a couple years - a buddy that looked at it says the pics are way better than the vehicle. I think he wanted 150k a year or so ago.

Or this one that might be in Canada
http://www.russoandsteele.com/collector_car/1969_dodge_charger_daytona_coupe/7523.html
Purchased New at Brookhurst Dodge in Garden Grove California, as per Galen Govier, the car then spent much of its life in Nevada, then a few years in a storage building in Canada and then on to it's present home in Arizona. Unfortunately, as with many Daytona's, this car is absent of its build sheet. I do however, have an impressive and easily verifiable history of this car's complete past that starts at the beginning, including pictures taken in the mid 70's as well as, some great documentation. This Daytona has its original numbers matching 440 with a 727 automatic, power steering, and power disk brakes

Not this V2 car is it

I'm totally guessing here (since I don't track these things) but I'm going to say it's neither of those.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

Since Houston and Nevada are both fairly far from Toronto?  ;)

nascarxx29

Time will tell the old Russo Steele car and its description I remembered had mentioned something about Canada not sure if its that car or not.Was just comparing the 2 descriptions for similaraties same color options like disc brakes background with all paperwork impressive past owner history. One of the cars is missing is buildsheet .And the other mentions paperwork .But not buildsheet it just says original fender tag is there. My  :Twocents: would be declaring focus on its original fender tag as the buildsheet isnt there maybe?

An original V2 Hemi Orange Daytona with a black interior, black stripe and wing. This 440 winged warrior was purchased from its original owner, comes with it's original Bill of Sale, original owners manual and still maintains its original fender tag. It is nicely equipped with power steering, power brakes, buckets and console, floor shifter, an automatic transmission, new redline tires and dog dish hub caps.

I suppose it could be.  It would mena they changed the wheels and tires and brought it back to Canada.  When was that Russo and Steele auction you linked to?

Ghoste - Is this RM?

Ghoste

No, it used to be but it was sold last year.  My understanding is that there will be a number of RM staff contracted to do this sale if they're available but it is a separate entity.

nascarxx29

I just looked at descriptions and compare and make a hunch. They focus on original fender tag .And no mention of buildsheet.

Well the reason I said it's neither of those cars is because it doesn't appear to be restored - at least not recently. I wasn't even paying attention to colors, options, fender tag, etc.
The orange car: "It has been treated to a complete rotisserie restoration."
The silver car would have had to have been painted since 2006 so that paint isn't likely to be cracking already.

I'm also assuming the car is in Canada *now* - not that it was at some point.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Ghoste

That's my understanding as well, that it is somewhere in the Toronto region now.

Dave,  it can't be the same car.    The car in the link is R4 and the car being discussed is V2.

More pictures would have been nice.Gotta wonder why it appears to have 2 speed wiper motor .Being it has disc brakes.I dont think I see the tach wire grommet on the bulkhead

My thoughts on R4 V2 color thing .Here is a original owner 70-s picture of my R4 daytona. :Twocents:Fender tags and buildsheets tell the real story

There's no correlation between 2-speed wipers and disc brakes as far as I know.  There are a number of PDB Daytonas equipped with either 2-speed or 3-speed wiper motors (same goes for '69 B-bodies in general).

I put the J25 3 speed wiper option along with other items :Twocents:.As found in this A group package

But it doesn't have deep dish wheel covers (the left hand remote is hard to ascertain by the pics too, by my eye anyway).
