...and I thought I knew everyone in my neck of the woods.   ::)

Driving west down I-80 today I encountered someone's trailered race S'bird.  I was getting ready to exit and driving so I really couldn't take in too much detail.  Gold, white tail and "Joliet" and "Norwood or Norwest or NO something" scripted.

At first glance I thought it was a 'tona since there was no vinyl, but it's a bird.  Clone race car?

Anyway, if it belongs to someone here....you made me smile today.

It's a clone of Sal Tovella's #8 Superbird.    It was at the World of Wheels in Chicago a few weeks ago.

Here is Sal with the car...

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Is it me or my computer screen....does that nose cone look a little longer than normal?

No, just it's a user-fabricated nose.    They also made the wing themselves.    The nose is a little off, but the response to the car has been pretty positive.   Sal is a local hero in Chicago.
