Those are cheaper than they were originally. They were around 1K each when they first started making them.

I don't care for the Wheel Vintique billet rallyes. I've seen them on a few cars and the center caps look too small and out of proportion to the rest of the rim.
Fooses billet rallyes look a little better. His had an aluminum center cap. I would have to take out a loan against my house to buy Foose rims.

i was thinking your crazy, i've seen foose wheels for 180 bucks all the time then i do a search for those and GOOD LORD, those must be made of unobtanium

it looks alittle better but still to small of a center cap

I think they look like the spare tire under a ram pick up that has factory 20" wheels.  :eek2:

The vintques rim dont look that good seeing the differences ..I liked the CMX Mirada rims I had on a superbird.I think they would look even better polished

I wonder what black 15X8 steelies with P255/70's would look like? That might look pretty sinister. I want the car to have a mean look. Not quite as mean as Mr. Angrier mind you. More of a civilized meanness. Would you go with white letter or black wall? Center caps or chrome lug nuts only? So many new ideas.

Mr. Angrier is a league all it's own and I wouldn't think of treading on that hallowed ground.

We need photoshop.  ;D

Many people love the Dog Dish look.  I am not one of them :coolgleamA: but I think anything would look good on Black Ice :Twocents:

Like you said, i won't be treading on hallowed ground but i'll try to find something that looks similar to Mr Musto's ride.
Gotta go change the rear fluid in my Black Devil Car... but i'll be back later to do it. Unless someone beats me to it of course.

Rene, those steelies on the bee made it a completely different car. It went from anemic to a car with an attitude.
The Charger looks good with the steelies. I don't remember seeing too many first gens with steelies. Around here they usually had cragars or keystones.

Why don't you run the rallyes on the port side
and the centerlines on the starboard side.

You can only see one side of the car at a time.

See how long untill someone noticed them.  :icon_smile_big:

That would give this old boat a little too much left rudder.  ::)

Thanks for the pics...The steelies with the chrome lugnuts look pretty darn good. I think I can buy a set of steelies with tires for less than a grand. That would give me three options for cruise nights.

Here's a pic of a black bird with magnum 500's that I found somewhere.

they look tough but they got to be wide, 15x8 245's  all the way around . that's what i want with redlines for my 68 r/t . it came with redlines from the factory and it's an original car  . the wider the better. can you get 255's all the way around?

TexasStroker

I've always liked Rallyes on Superbirds and Magnum 500s on Daytonas...just seems right.

For your Superbird I'd go: Rallyes, Black Steelies, and then dive into 5 spoke billet etc for the 3rd line.

Main thing is: It is your car, do what you want.  You don't build it, tweak it, and drive it to please everyone else.  Do what you like and you'll never go wrong.  Almost everything that gets torn apart between the 100% factory correct and modified camps is something that is easily reversable...just like your wheel/tire combo.
