Yes it was Duncan's car in 86.  Was sold to another guy back then and still shows the owner from being from near me.  Current address of current known owner is in Florida.  Phone number has been disconnected though.  I was hoping that it hadn't been seen since 1986.  LOL!!!!  There is a picture from when Duncan found the car on Canadian Cars in Barns.

Anyone got any info on:  414636,  414642, 414643?????

MoparMatty, I"m guessing that since all the cars your requesting information on are origional Canadian Daytona's that you are from that area?

Were you at Carlisle this past year? Walking around with your dad?

Moparmatty

That was me.  Yes they are Canadian cars I'm trying to track down.

Was the R4 car owned at one time by Mark Chistiani of Ont? Talked to this guy at the Barrie automotive flea market years ago and he had a R4 with a red gut.Would it be the same car?
Previously owned Daytona XX29L9B423239 - f8 - white int. - power windows.

What did you ever find out about the Black HEMI 500 you had run into? I was the one talking to you at John Pappas booth, I am Danny Liebrandt, I was the one with the video camera there. You were telling me about a Black Charger 500 you had seen, or had seen some photo's of recently.

I was down to York on the Saturday of Carlisle to get a chip and injectors put in my TDI Jetta.  The guy doing the work told me of a black Hemi 500 that was in a shitty fallen down garage that was on a property a friend of his was trying to buy.  Property was a really run down.  Owner of the property ended up dieing and his family ended up with the property and the cars I guess got sold.  There was a late 60's 427 vette.  The garage had fallen down on the roof of the 500.  He showed me a pic of the car from when his friend was trying to get the property.  I believe he said there were a couple of Hemi engines just laying around the property aswell.  I can't remember what he said happend to the cars after the family got a hold of things.

The reason I ask is because I have always been told that there was 3 X9 HEMI 500's built, but to date I can only account for 2 of them. This could possibly be the 3rd one, but then again it might have been another color from the factory.

Moparmatty

This one was black with a white stripe.

Black with a white stripe would be a new one to me.

I think Mark's car was originally from the states and is now back there.  He traded it for a T5 Hemi 500 a few years ago and then sold the 500 back to the states after that.  From the one pic on Canadian Cars in Barns the interior of 414632 is black.

Do you have a Daytona again 65 Post?

I don't know how you guys would ever let go of a daytona after getting it. I feels like I've been chasing a Daytona to call my own for all of my life now. Once I get it I know it won't ever leave my possession.

Was your F8 Daytona a Canadian car Post 65?
If so what was the sequence number?

Matt Tebbutt

hemigeno

423239 is the only Canadian car that is out of sequence with the rest of the Canadian Daytonas (which all start with 414xxx).

The SO number is listed as 926320 on the Daytona Shipping List, car #205, hopefully that jives with what 65post's records are  :P

Hemigeno`s info is correct.It was sold new in Montreal. Fender tag went like this - line#1 -  N85 - P31 - R11 - V88 - Y39 - 26. line#2 - A11 - A36 - C16 - C55 - M21 - M31 .line#3 -  F8 - F8 - C6W - W1 - 610 - 926320. line#4 - E86 - D32 - XX29 - 423239.

Mark C. Red on Red Daytona was from western Canada. I still have the auto trader ad when it was for sale in the 1980's for $12k.
It was painted blue with a black stripe and the DAYTONA letters were high on the quarter panel.
