The color I am looking for is > <the same one as the faces..."curious yellow" Did they make this color on Daytonas?..it's a bright yellow. I have never seen a Daytona this color except on a toy model car and on a 69 Charger 500.

I have never seen a Daytona this color except on a toy model car and on a 69 Charger 500. The bright yellow (code Y1 "Top Banana"/"Lemon Twist") didn't come out until 1970 so it wasn't available on a Daytona. The color you mentioned didn't come out until at least 70 - maybe even 71. Troy

Curious Yellow is GY3, therefore 1971 (G Series) which is the year the color debuted. FY1, Lemon Twist, is 1970 (F Series.) If Y2 had been available for 1970 it would have been EY2, since it was new for 1969. Follow?
"Y" is the generic marker for yellow/gold toned paint, like B is for blue and F is for green. You'll get a whole range of colors under the Y banner. The higher the number, the deeper the tone, as well. B3 is lighter than B5, which is lighter than B7. It's not a totally hard and fast rule but it works 100% of the time, 90% of the time.
