I was really  hoping someone would come through with a Daytona 300! I'm no good with Photoshop...
Thanks! One of the reasons I like the car is because I find the front end looks a bit like a 70 Charger, so the conversion seemed natural.. :icon_smile_wink:
The script lettering on the quarters is very classy...  :yesnod:
Gotta get me some plywood now!

:2thumbs:   get a glass wing and call it a daytona 300 or daybird 300  or superton-a or 3 tons of fun or superbird 300... think it is allready too long for nose so just add big spoiler and smooth ed closed grill and suck in cool air down at the top of the spoiler.lower the nose alittle and shorter front tires ta get some rack..and have ta paint wing and daytona strip out back to be seen and breakup some of the green back 40..  my aunt had a car like that man are they llllong....   super photoshop work  there, homer on this and a 383's daytona ragtop...  i'am doing a darttona topless out of a 75 swinger, top is off and it will be closed over back seat for a 2seater topless,,any photoshop help out there??? thanks

Hey Nelson, you should change that picture, or you're afraid to be kicked out once they find out you switched to an E-body?  :nana:
They were still nice to me when all I had was a C... :icon_smile_big:

I spoke with the next owner of ''my'' Bird again, and he recalled selling the car to a father/son duo from Portland/California, who already owned a few more Birds... ring any bells with anyone?  :icon_smile_big:

Ben

FJMG

Sorry I cannot help you with your bird but would you happen to know if the daytona pic you took was a 4-SPD?

Montreal Wing Car

Sorry I did not notice if the Daytona was a 4 speed then...

The Portland/Cali - father/son in the early 80's info still does not ring a bell with anyone?

Ben

Montreal Wing Car

New info!
The guy I sold it to called tonight, he found an old DSAC newsletter from 1987 and his number was 1387, his name is Mike Bidard on it, from St-Jean, Quebec Canada (his actual name is Michel Bédard). So it actually went to the US in 87 or 88. Maybe there is a record of the VIN under his name/ number.
He still owns a nice Hemi-powered Daytona clone that is for sale:

Thanks, from the other cars around, it looks like the 80's, and my car was orange by then.
This is probably Jean-Marc Gaudet's car, that he still owns today.

I took that pic probably in the late 80s.Remember it being a little rough.
Ben do you know of a guy named Louis from Montreal that has or had a orange Bird.He bought it in Asbestos from a guy who also had a blue one ( originally Y1 )

Clyde Rollins and his son Bob had 11 or 12 Superbirds between 83 and 95.    Clyde had a summer home in Portland and a winter home in Indian Wells CA.   I know he had a few green birds.     We would store some of the cars in our back yard as he purchased them in the mid 80s through the mid 90s.  That name ring a bell?
Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

That sounds just about right!
The car would have been orange when they bought it, and would have looked o.k., not a wreck, as seen on this ad:

Would you have any info on their cars?

Aero 426 Doug might be able to cross reference it to a vin and most new members sent in a initial story and picture when they joined the DSAC
