They seem to have 70 high back seats though. Well, that I can tell in 2 of the pics.

Cool find. My wife thinks I am crazy when I get all excited because I see old chargers in re-runs.   :hah:

Well, I didn't want to be the only one to admit it, but I recorded T.J. when it was on A&E a few years back. Now I have to dig out that episode & watch it again.
Makes you wonder where these chargers were hiding in between these series. Like were they just sitting in a impound yard, then bought by the production team when they needed cars to film?
Also, there were a few black chargers used in the Ken Wahl TV movie The Gladiator.. :popcrn:

Speaking of Ken Wahl, didn't he drive a Challenger in the tv show Wiseguys? Could've been a Charger tho. :scratchchin:

And nobody even mentioned they destroyed yet another Charger in another TV episode......

just looked online and TJ hooker ran from 82 thru 86 first on abc then later on cbs, dukes ran from 79 to 85 so these could very well be general lees converted from one show to another.

JT01

There is a episode that has a actual General lee in it still wearing his uniform you only see it for a second its getting pulled by a wrecker.

MoparManJim

Look at the one photo of the charger flaying through the air about to hit the truck. Look at the rear leaf springs. That charger has General Lee helper springs on the leafs.. I'm guessing that one was probably a General Lee repainted.

Cool find! what's the episode  call't? I would love the see it :2thumbs:

Brock Lee

There is another episode where they are chasing some guys through an "industrial" area that is really the Burbank backlot. There are multiple General Lee's in the scene with camera angles obscuring them so they are not obvious.

Tj was filmed on the burbank lot at Warner Brothers as well as dukes , at the same time ,  the charger's in the episodes where borrowed from the dukes supply , a long with the monaco and fury's used on Dukes ,  some of the guys i know that worked on Dukes , said Tj Hooker production at the time season 1/ 2 did not have a big budget for vehicles .

In a couple of episodes Hooker and partner are driving through the backlot of W.B , and they pass a bunch of  General lee's.

Wow, even have one of Cooters tow trucks dragging the General down the street. lol

1969RTSE

There is another episode of TJ Hooker (sorry, no idea which one - just caught it on tv one night a few weeks back) where a bad guy runs out of a nightclub and steals an orange '69... very clearly a GL with no graphics.  Car chase ensues and the GL gets wrecked at the end of the chase (after a small jump!)... the hilarious part is that in the middle of the chase, the car very clearly and obviously transforms into a green, early 70's Camaro, then back to the Charger in later scenes.  Even my wife and kids got a laugh out of that.

Update - found it.   3rd season episode "The Snow Game".  Available to watch online with a quick Google search.
