Never Saw Someone Change A Tire....

In The Middle of an Intersection.

Going back to work after lunch I was waiting for a light. There's two lanes, one to make a right, & one to go straight or left. I assumed the first car in the left lane was waiting for the light, but when the light changed, he stayed put. As I passed the stopped vehicle, I noticed one of mankind's more intelligent offerings changing a tire.   ::)   He was straddling the double yellow line as he sat on the pavement sweating off a few pounds. We all know you can ruin a rim if you drive on a flat, but this vehicle was an early 80's mini Blazer or something, that was pretty well dented & rotted. I would bet the battery under the hood was worth more than the rest of the vehicle, so it made no sense that they would be trying to "preserve" the rare wheel within the flat tire.

There was a driveway less than 3 car lengths away from this nimrod, you'd have figured he would've used it as a safe haven. It's way too easy to get a driver's license.

How prophetic!

I think I will apply this elsewhere.

What was he thinking. Someone should have run over the guy. Some people just don't think. Rude and inconsiderate people like that don't need a car. Much less a licence. That irritates me and I wasn't even there! LOL He didn't look like he had a tan did he? I live in an area where the whole town is being taken over by people that have crossed over the border. Most of whom don't even have a licence. So I have seen things like this often.

What a putz!
Why is it that whenever something like that happens, there's never a cop around? :icon_bs:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

You said he was driving an old Chevy, That explains it, he was not smart enough to get out of traffic.

Unless the car could not move without changing the tire, it makes no sense.

It's likely they are so broke that saving the tire for repair was of great concern.

Hopefully, in the last 14 years, he got a job.....
And a better car with better tires.   :2thumbs:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

It is fun to see if anyone notices how old the revived thread is.

Excellent!  A social experiment!  I saw the date on the other one, but not on this one.

I now see there are many more.... the one I noticed was the car name game, the others about movies flew right over my head

Good one

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Now that you have highlighted it, you had me wondering about you yesterday Kern.
