Panhead this cone Is looking great. :2thumbs:  What did you use to join the top to the bottom? I see you have cleco's but what kind of shapable 90 are they attached to? It looks flexible and really handy.  Also how did you do the headlight bucket flange? Did you bend it and weld it in, or did you leave extra material and hammer and dolly it in.  I am always trying to take in the skills from metal working job.  Keep it up panhead, Just think how much more you are going to love waxing this than a fiberglass nose.

panhead

Thanks, The 90's are another form of cleco's called edge clamps. To hook the upper plate to the side I made a 90 degree peace at 1" broke at 1/2" per side and used the cleco's to hold it and spot welded the upper plate to it. As far as the headlight flange, I cut a peace 1/2" wide at 42" long. I used a shrinker to make the shape I needed and then stitch welded to the upper plate. The mounting holes I made a pattern off the jenick nose and flanged and then plug welded and to place.

Inspiring stuff Panhead... Goes to show anything is possible! Are you having to trial fit the hood and fender contours regularly? Or is that part of a final shaping process?

You have Cajones dude - these guys are appreciative but to do this 'in public'...  :2thumbs:
