Will the 73-74 wiper motor and arm work in a '72? I know the motor is diffrent but will it still be functional? Also I have two speed wipers now in the '72...will a 3-speed motor be a problem?

Thanks

AK

yes... will work... no problem on 2 and 3 speeds interchange as far I know, beside you need also change the switch, wiring and links are the same. Only difference on wiper system between 3rd gens are the washer nozzles mounted on wiper arm on 74 models instead the ones mounted between grilles on hood on earliers. that makes the 74 arms are SLIGTHLY different just because the cut out for the hose at the bottom.

definitelly no problem at all.

As Always thanks Nacho. I'm having an awful time finding an arm for my '72 motor so I'll just replace the whole motor!

Thanks

no problem...

Now I remember another difference between 3rd gens, 71 switch is different... is bigger on back and uses two plugs instead one, but same wires.

The crank is also different between 2 and 3 speeds... the piece that joins the motor with link arm, so of course if you change from 2 to 3 speeds you will need that crank to the right motor.

I hate when I remember everything late.
