Where is the optimal place to strap down a 3rd Gen Charger while towing? Thanks for the input.... :shruggy:

Troy

I use the suspension - lower control arms in the front and rear axle (or sometimes the rear spring mount depending on the location of the trailer tie down points).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Yeah? I've used the k-frame before when I didn't have enough length in the straps. The frame rails have the factory tie down holes - although most have been ripped out at this point. :RantExplode:

I've used tire tie downs before and they worked great. I do what I do because I read somewhere to let the car's suspension remain free - although you can get some weird oscillations on roads with bumps. Obviously, some people prefer to strap down the frame and load the suspension to keep the car where they put it. I think this does help keep the straps tight but I check them all the time.
