I have suface rust all over the bottom of the hood, what is the best way to get rid of the rust, espcially in the hard to reach ares, like between the braces and an hood skin?

Do a search for "electrolysis on hood". Someone here tried this with mixed results. I think it could work with the right setup. Post pics if you are successfull, I have a hood with the same problem.

Look around for a company that does media blasting. I'm going to bring some of the panels from my 68 to a local shop to have them blasted. Was quoted $90-120 per panel depending on how many layers of paint are on the panels. Price includes blasting all sides.
