Gotta have aftermarket seats, especially if you actually drive the car; definitely if you drive the car a little more reckless than most.

myk,
where did you get those rear seats im assuming same car since they look identical to fronts.

The body shop that worked on my car got the pattern; if those idiots can come up with that I'm certain that quality places would be able to match that effort or do even better for you if you're interested.  It looks good, but I hope it holds up.  I will say that it feels more substantial and thicker than the "reproduction" skins I got from the Paddock all those years ago.

Which reminds me-I never got those damn rear belts... ::)

I have to admit, I hate the Factory Hot and Cheap seats that were made 40 years ago. Also, who likes the lack of comfort they had back then.

The stock seat was crap when it was new, but I can't replace them with an aftermarket seat.  I just love the look of them too much and to be honest, ever since I installed that console arm rest I'm able to stick in my seat a whole lot better!   :icon_smile_big:

I still plan on adjusting the stock foam to get the best of both worlds though.

I'm pretty sure you can buy "retro looking" seats that most people would figure belong to the car anyway; I'm pretty sure ProCar/Scat makes a line of seats that are geared  more toward the OEM look.  http://procarbyscat.com/Seats

Without the headrest I have to mention that my new seats are almost identical to the stock ones in dimensions (height, width, etc).  I will say I don't like the mounting methods though; the brackets take up a lot of space and are painfully visible from the rear.   I know this would be a deal-breaker for most and it almost was for me...

I have installed aftermarket seats in customers' cars and we usually made a small mdf box to hide the brackets.  Cover the box in oem carpet and it looks stock.

There's always these:

most of these aftermarket seats are black I personally would be interested in seeing some more in different colors of brown or tan.

I had leather seats out of an acura nsx in mine...very comfortable and looked cool too!  debating on putting them in my challenger.....

thanx myk,that is a 68 oramac  :icon_smile_big:

Is it any different than the '69?  I see that a lot of the other oramac air dam users are using the '69 dam...

How did it mount up?  Like the '69, where you drill holes into the spoiler to match the Charger's body?

They sell seat tracks/sliders for the seats so I put those in, but I would consider them a deal-breaker for most as they're quite obvious and stick out quite a bit; especially if you're sitting in the rear.  I'm sure a little customizing might enable someone to use the stock sliders for any aftermarket seat, but I was too lazy to look into that and just went with the store-sold sliders...

On my seat track rails, I kept the ones that came with the seats (01 Grand Prix) and welded my own brackets to the floor.
