I was wondering if any one knew the size of the mounting bolts?

Thanks David

Should be one bolt and one stud with nut. Not sure of the size but proper kits are available at a good price.

The bolt is 1/2" by 2 1/2 inch course thread goes in top hole. Bottom hole 1/2" by 3" stud, course stud threads go in bellhousing the fine thread end takes a nut and lock washer.

the thread is actually 7/16
a 1/2 bolt has a 3/4 head , 7/16 uses a 5/8" head

Top is a 7/16"-14 X 1 1/2" hex bolt....bottom is a 7/16" stud 2" long.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Is this true even if it is a mini starter? Specifically a MDS 5098.

Thanks David

you cannot change the bolt size only the length & the flange as roughly the same thickness on either starter
