Hi guys,
I just wanted to get everyones opinion or better yet, facts about the Black Out on the cars that got shipped out to have the noses installed.
Did they get the usual Black painted treatment?  :shruggy: I really cant rely on my car as the nose was dinged in 75ish and replaced. I wont use mine for any details when it comes to the nose area as I know it was monkied with.  :icon_smile_blackeye: I do know the hood, fenders, rad support were NOT damaged as it was a driveway incident and was more of a crunch than an accident.  :-\ I have attached a pic of what I found when I removed the nose and it looks like some Black paint was applied for lack of a better term I said applied....kind looks like a gun was waved at it sorta somewhat!

wingless now, but still around.

neither of my cars (166206 or 168776) were blacked out, either, and both have (or had) original paint in those areas.

I don't have a handy copy of the assembly instructions Lynch had regarding the birds, but i'd imagine it would say to skip the process.

Only a little on the upper core support (channel) and partway down the passenger side, but the black that is there has a runny "Krylon" look to     it../. I doubt that the black that is there is original...
