Dane, not sure exactly what you mean by pop bottle holders.
The package tray was in good condition, bar where somebody had enlarged a speaker hole. This was repaired.

rickroadrunner

Doug, it is hard to read the broadcast sheet, as it is in poor condition. The right hand lower corner is missing. In the N section, it has 12651 between 4- and 51.
it has a 5 under gov/tack and nothing else on the N line.
By my earlier comments regarding wheels, any idea what my car came with?

rickroadrunner

Further on the wheels, in the wheels section at the bottom , in the W section, there is a 1 under the 2-wheels.

rickroadrunner

Doug, regarding your question regarding special order, in Y section, I can only read that there is a 5 under the "build to spec. for"

The nose was fitted today after being off the 'Bird for 25+ years. Still a bit of metal finishing work to do. Hopefully should be completed by end of next week.

I have not logged on for a while, the 'Bird has still been progressing. I have been following Mopar Johns restoration, which has been super helpful to me as I have been able to trying my best to duplicate the high standard of restoration his Superbird.
The 'Bird is now painted in Glasurit. These photos are of the car after coming out of the booth. My painter, Chris has done a fantastic job. These photos are of the body un polished. He had rubbed the car in 2000 grit before painting. He is about to rub with 3000 grit then polish.
I have finished most other parts, engine, gearbox, diff, interior, suspension, pedal box, steering box and pump, dash etc.
The nose cone shell has been trial fitted and after lots of work fits well with the new rubber seal.
I should have the car home in around a week and final assembly will begin.

Ahhh, it ain't nothin' special!

It looks great, mate!

I'm so jealous right now - hopefully, this summer mine will be coming out of final paint and then off to Jim in Florida for mechanical assembly.

PS  You would have laughed at me this Sunday.  At Church I used my best Rick T Aussie accent as part of a skit for the children.    You were a Pet Story owner with a Turtle named Mabel.    I had to imagine our phone conversations and what you sound like to me.   I can only imagine on your end of the telephone how strange I sound.

G-day, mate!

Slowly putting the 'Bird back together. Building a car in Australia can be a pain. Just ordered a small box of parts, $208 freight and its taken 4 days just to confirm freight cost!
I do need some advice, I am painting the interior roof moldings . The side mouldings seem to be gloss, where the front is matt.(or are they just sun affected?)
I this correct? Could the front molding be the same finish as the dash and steering column to reduce glare?
Should the side moldings be satin or gloss?
What finish should the ash tray be?
Thanks

Its been a while since posting.Fitted exhaust and tailshaft today. A few minor issues to sort.
Just need to fit radiator and shroud, steering column and a couple of wiring issues, then ready to turn key!
