No one? Allen? Still interested?

Of course I'm in... AND expect to have Blue Thunder to debut...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That will be sweet !!! Spread the word.. Hopefully my discussion with Mr. Nelson in a couple of days will bare good Aero-times.....

I'm going to email Greg and Marty in the DFW area to see if they want to go (they were the other cars in the photoshoot).

OK,, just got off the phone with the track, it is a go..... I'm going to help them make a flyer, get the details and spread the word.. My input is what the typical exceptation is: 1. parade lap, tickets, place to park, parking for tow-vehicles, etc... Looks like I'll be helping out to be the point-of-contact..  Doug !!!! Help !!!!   :yesnod:

Sure Dave... BUT, you will have to provide your own tow vehicle to take it on the track for the parade laps...

OR, I will provide the engine and other missing parts for you to get the SA Express self-deployable... some assembly required...  :eek2:
... it should own the "Original, But should have been restored" class... :smilielol:

Hey ya'll...

What would be some good points to see about interest for the TMS event by the Ford/Mercury crowd. I found one place, but it seems you have to pay $20 to register? Anyone over here on a Ford/Mercury performance and/or aero board? Any links?

Cheers,
Troy

is there a link to email or message the administrator on the pay site without having to join? surely they would be interested in telling their members of this golden opportunity.

That's what I tried to find last night, but it was getting late........... I'll try again.  A fellow board member referred me to a FOMOCO owner.

Thanks Allen,
Contacted Larry with the Talladega and Richard from the FOMOCO camp. I also got a CC from TMS about having additional assistance on this project, so things for real are pressing forward........ Man Allen, I doubt of all the AeroWarrior Meets there has been anyone live as close as you...... Of course, I'm not saying North, South, East or West..........  :icon_smile_big:

Just got off the phone with the track's event coordinator. He is making up the flyer, and I'll try to come up with a host hotel. Allen, any suggestions?

The thought is a parade lap (I'm assuming for both races) and two complimentary tickets. I mentioned to them some people may have more than 2 people coming with them, so it would be nice to be able to get additional tickets in the same area. Being that this is a 1st time for them and relatively short notice, we'll see what the turn out is. I'm going to try and continue communications with the Ford camp. Anyone know FOMOCO owners who'd be interested? more than likely, I'll be the point of contact. The NASCAR truck race again is Friday night, the Indy race is Sat.

Cheers,
Troy

If I could possibly get a head count via email so I know who's wishing to attend this meet and whether or not you'll be looking to attend both Friday Night ( awkward time ) for the NASCAR truck race and Saturday for the Izod-Indy Firestone 500.

my email address is:

I have locally to me:

1. Myself ( Daytona )
2. Superbird
3. Superbird
4. Possible Charger 500 ( if completed > correct Allen )

I'm having a difficult time trying to connect with the Ford camp...

Just got this from the track's Special Events Manager:

"Our Art Dept. has all the information that I have for the flyer.  Unfortunately, they are extremely busy with new sponsor, media day, new adds, etc.  I assure you that it is on their list and they will get to it as soon as possible.  You can spread the word to your groups that it will happen in June and make reservations if needed.  You will have a spot on our Midway and we will make time for a track cruise during the day on Saturday.  More details will come as the schedule for the June IRL weekend is completed.

Each entry will receive 2 tickets that will be handed out after the cars are displayed on the Midway.  There will be a bank of tickets available to purchase in the same area of the grandstands on the frontstretch.  We will have to schedule a parade lap when the track is available, this is why you guys are on the Midway, so everyone can see
"

I have contact Tim Wellborn and he's going to see what his schedule's like. I hope he can attend, it'll be nice to see him, but this is short notice...

Looks like we're close to 10 Aeros ( man, wish I could get some of thos Ford/Mercury guys to respond - put a post on the Talladega/Spoiler facebook page ).

This just in...

Seems the main event will happen during Sat.'s Firestone 500. Not sure they are going to do anything on Friday night if most of the cars won't be there until Sat. Remember, we'll have to build a reputation of participation and any future event will grow accordingly. We have to start somewhere........

Let me know... It should be a blast regardless of the race-type ( plus, I've never been to an Indy open wheel race ).
