Chris, for the '69 Charger, what was the correct style trunk mat?  Grey herringbone?

I believe it was Legendary that told me it varied from plant to plant and also build date. With my late build date and with the herringbone being most common , I went with that.

Ohh Chris...what is your take?

Nope the herring bone is for a 70 model.

It was either grey or tan plaid for 69......more predominatly grey.

I have the plaid one as well as the herringbone one pictured.......dare to be different!  I just like the look of the herringbone pattern  (at least this season.....maybe next Ill change back)

I am confused now....I think mine is the Houndstooth? Never have been good at decorating. :icon_smile_big:

I know it is not plaid.

I wonder why Legendary told me Houndstooth then? I see Year One sells the Houndstooth as well and lists it available in 1969.

Guess I should have listened to Barf and gone to plaid.  ;)

Great movie!

Dont take my word as law.....I'm just going off what that silly restoration guide said and what the old YO catalogs used to say.....

It all boils down to personal prefrence if you asked me.

Whos to say it did or did not come with a herringbone pad?  I'll swear it did right along with ya! ;)

My 69 was plaid, but to tell you the truth, I thought you get plaidor herringbone in 69 and there was no rhyme or reason to it.  You got what you got.

Just going offside here a bit but I want to make sure of something.  The round RT dash emblem is for the Coronet only, not Charger?

I think the Charger's just got the medallion. Chris did those little things so he knows who copied his car during their restoration.   :scope:   :icon_smile_wink:

tee hee!

Yes I believe the 68 Charger either got the triangle or the bullseye
The 68 Coronet R/T cot the R/T emblem.

I got mine NOS about 7 years ago for $25

I ruined it though because I cut off the mounting tabs and used a bit of velcro to attach it.   I didnt want to hack up my cluster plastic bezel....

Okay thanks.  Although, I've seen quite a few of those things in Chargers over a number of years so if that were really his plan, it won't be too accurate.  :)

I know it's not stock but in 27yrs I have only seen one other one other than the one Chris has.
Plus the car I what it for is a clone so I don't really care, it looks like it belongs there anyway.

Just another detail about the jacks.  I remember seeing a year or so ago in one of the mopar magazines (either Mopar Collectors Guide or Mopar Muscle) that someone came out with a correct felt pad that was originally stuck or glued to the flat area on the jack that came in contact with the bumper.  Makes sense as otherwise the jack would scratch the living snot out of the bumper.  Can anyone confirm that this felt pad piece is supposed to be on the jack?
