I remember someone reproducing the M on the end of a Purolator filter. It's been a few years, and I can't remember if it was in here or on Moparts. The guy had figured out a way to raise the M on an assembled filter without harming the innards.

Looking at the 2 bxes pictured, the first one has white on the bottom, and the second one doesn't. This looks to me like white stock was printed on. Also, were the originals wrapped with styrofoam paper?

Keep in mind an nos filter that's old will have the element deteriorated inside. In use, it will most likely come apart.
