OK, you have to understand.   This was done in 1971 by a fifteen year old racing crazy kid.   The cars are all 1/25 plastic models built by Steve Mirabelli and his buddy Brian McLernon.     Steve later drew the Wing Warriors poster you are familiar with.   The level of detail put into making the film look like a real race weekend is incredible.   It's worth your time to watch.  You Tube link below.

"This film was made in the summer of 1971 when I was 15 years old. My friend and I combined our collections of hand lettered scratch built NASCAR Grand National models to create a complete field for an animated race. I built a 1/2 mile speedway set in my basement. I filmed the piece with an old Brownie 8mm home movie camera exposing 1 frame at a time moving the cars between frames. This short film took 2 months to complete. - Steve Mirabelli"

Two months??!!  I'm impressed, my attention span at 15 was barely two minutes.

That is awesome! I am familiar with work like that, and I know how tedious/frustrating it can get.  Very cool they stuck it out and completed it!  :2thumbs:
