Removed and inspected my master cylinder today.. all i good except the piston retainer screw that is missing. Not sure what it is "doing"

Since i live in Sweden it īs kinda hard to find parts for old Mopar cars..
What can i do? Just plug the hole or find some metric screw that will fit..?

This i the screw:

i believe that screw is used as a "stop" for the rear brake portion of the master cylinder.in other words it keeps the piston in the correct position inside the master cylinder.

iagree Most manufacturers use a snap ring behind the piston, this one must be held in with that screw.
I don't know for positive, though.

The oem ones had a retainer screw or at least, it's shown in the fsm.
