Has anyone replaced the dash amp gauge to a volt gauge on a 2nd gen Charger?  I'm thinking of going to the junk yard and salvaging a late 70s or 80s mopar volt meter and using the guts to adapt it to the amp gauge case.  Anyone done this?  How did you convert yours?

Thanks for posting this.  It's exactly what I want to do.  That's one way to reduce that common fire hazzard at the bulkhead connector.

exactly what i done  ,   :yesnod:  had to cut the back of  metal  gauge cluster , directly behind the amp meter more than i was expecting , but done away with the fire hazard  with  the mopar amp gauge set up .
not as it you can see when the gauge cluster  is in ,  but may redo it one day  :-\

I used a Sunpro CP7985 and adapted it to my gauge front. See Pics or Mopar Action Dec 2008 "Meter Maid"
