While Brownsburg seems to be the preferred area, there are usually rooms available in Plainfield/Avon area which is only about 10 miles south from the track.

Also if any of the wing car folk want to come see me in the track tower (A/C!),  feel free to come up to the 2nd floor of the timing tower, come in the race control door, and come say Hi! IF anyone looks quizzical, just say you coming to say Hi to Scott! May be the only time you are allowed up into the race control area of a National Event race track!.

Due to the nature of the announcer position, I will have little or no time to come down from my glass cubicle to see many of the cars or see much of the show.

As part of the Monster Mopar Weekend "team" I will say the rumor is false. I was with Josh king on Sunday at the Mopar Nationals and everything is a GO!

The show is a go.  There is a cruise on Friday and the party at the Slippery Noodle Friday night.  It is going to be a blast.

I'll be riding around on the golf cart again taking pictures.

I doubt anyone cares, but I changed my room to the Fairfield Inn in Avon.  They had some rooms left when I talked to them.  Their number is 317-271-9200.  They have plenty of parking for cars and trailers.

They are kind of generic looking.  Plain envelope return address just says King and his address.  I almost through it away as junk mail.

How many areo cars are expected?  Is there a plan to park them all together?

I am bringing mine and it will be it first trip out of the Chicago area since I got it last year.  Should be a good time and I welcome your comments.

Pat - you are a brave man!

Just because I welcome the comment, does not mean I will remember what someone said  ;D
