Did you order through their site?
I don't see an option for a Daytona when choosing a cover from their dropdown menu.
Superbird does show in the dropdown for Plymouth though.

Great.

Makes me wonder about the one I have sitting here still in the box.

I was waiting to take it out of the box when my car comes home from paint.

Hasn't happened yet.

Yes, there was a Daytona option on their website.

Guess if it's wrong, I'll just keep it for my other '69 and reorder. shruggy

I would let your car "air out" a while for like a month if not more before you put the cover on.  You dont want the cover going on not fully cured paint otherwise it will ruin the cover and your paint job at the same time.  Remember, automotive paint hardens from the outside in so even if it seems dry to touch, it still is not thoroughly hardened yet.

Did you have to pay extra for the "DAYTONA" lettering on front?
They gonna give that back to you, cause clearly it doens't fit a Daytona...

Well I had to put the cover in a bigger box to send it back brickwall  You can get 7 letters or symbals embroidered for $20 any thing over that is $2 more per letter.

It's sometimes an issue for us at work too because some of these very expensive restorations have owners who want the cars covered for transport and you just can't.

Fortunately, most of the time it takes us a while to wet sand, buff and reassemble the car anyway.   The only paint that cures from the outside-in is old school lacquer.   All modern paints that are catalyzed cure from the inside-out.   Once it's baked in the booth and cools, it's pretty much good to go.   No, I wouldn't cover it immediately.   But after several days it is 'bout as hard as it's gonna get.   I could see more time if it is a garage job with no forced heat.

I just put my new California Car Cover on today.

Same exact problem as 41Husk had with his  Roll Eyes

They sent me a cover for a regular Charger. shruggy

I specifically ordered one for a 1969 Charger Daytona.

I checked the receipt.

It says:

"1969 Charger Daytona"

I also checked their return policy...

After 90 days...

I'm screwed.

Well...

There's another $300 thrown away on this project.

If they won't do anything about it, then sell it.
At least you'll get some of the money back.
List it here for $200 and explain why you're selling and I'm sure it'll go.

I purchased two car covers from the folks at California Car Covers many years ago; one for my Daytona CLONE/CUSTOM, and another for my ’67 Charger.  Both were being finished at the time and not drivable.  I had them stored at my parent’s house in Northern Arizona as I lived in an apartment in Phoenix while going to College.   Both were evidenced from the garage to make room for believe it or not my Dad’s airplane (and no my father knew the difference between a “winged car” and an “airplane”).  Anyway, to the point of my story….both car sat through the weather, rain-heat/sun-snow, etc. with their car covers taking on all of it.  Needless to say, the weather and wind finally did them in as they were never designed for that.  However, I wrote to California Car Covers and told them I felt that the covers should have lasted a bit longer than they did and to my surprise they offered to replace them both for no charge…and they didn’t even make me mail back the old ones…just cut out off the tag and mailed that back.  In my case they stood behind their product and because of this I would buy another cover from them without a second thought.   In my case they had great customer service.

Well. scratchchin

I opened up the THIRD attempt at a car cover from California Car Cover today. Roll Eyes

Still no duffel bag.

Loose threads with the seam starting to come apart...

And the kicker... nutkick

As I unrolled the cover...

I heard something solid hit my car.

A Fu$%ing clothespin fell out of the inside of the cover and hit my car. brickwall

I'm beyond pissed at this point.

I was just getting ready to order up one of the CC car covers because my "old" Beverly Hills car cover dosent seem to be very plush which I never cared about before getting it all pretty again.

Me thinks Im not going with California Car Covers for my cover afterall. scratchchin

Apparently, something or someone has changed at CCCC.

I didn't order the duffle bag. Someone there at CCCC told me that the wingcar covers wouldn't fit into their duffle bags due to the extra bulk of the wing part. Not sure if he knew what he was talking about. I can tell you that it takes a pretty large duffel bag to fit my cover into.

Larry,

I wouldn't doubt it won't fit.

But at this point it doesn't matter.

I'll wrap fish in the damned duffel bag if it doesn't fit ( If I ever get it.)

I paid for it.

I want it.
