Great to see you again this year. Thanks for the hugs! ;)
You too , Brad. I like hugs.  :D. And I was serious about helping out with the alternator issue.  :2thumbs:

Thanks!  I know you were. I wired in a toggle switch so I could shut off the electric fans while on the hwy so the battery could charge. Worked fine but I have ordered a new alternator, should be here any day now.  :2thumbs:

Sorry guys and gals. I haven't checked in because I have really been going thru a lot and have been really depressed. Tufcat and Stu have talked to me on Facebook so they both have an idea of what has been going on. And the guys that message me on here. I really didn't know what to say. Til I know what was going on. The C word was tossed around a lot. So, they scanned my whole body.blood test,  you name. So, the good news no Cancer.  :2thumbs: I was scared shitless. Dropped done to 75 lbs. I went to a new hospital , got new docs. I finally found a doc that listened. Pulled my records from everywhere , spend 2 hrs with me. And a lot more tests. I had an infection in my stomach. The top part of my stomach is working fine, but the food is laying in the bottom of my stomach for a day. So he has me on meds that coated my stomach and causes pressure to push the food thur. It's from all the surgeries from the Cuda accident biting me in the ass. I gained a little over 2 lbs in a month on the new meds.   I'm hungry now. The down side is the meds can make my osteo worse. The down side from not taking the meds is I'm gonna keep losing weight and go into organ failure. So, I'm taking the meds. And the Daytona is in the shop tore apart.  :brickwall:  my life as always . Hope all is well with everyone here.

Hi guys and gals, Just checking in . I guess I have a bad case of the winter blues . I was a little upset last month. I didn't gain any weight. Went to the Docs on Monday . I'm up to 89.25. Almost at the 90 lb mark for my party. LOL Shelby gave me a big scare on Valentine's weekend. She ended up in U Penn Hospital in Philly. She had Stevens-Johnson Sydrome. It's a serious allergic reaction to antibiotics. But she is ok now. They caught it early. Can't wait to see everyone at Carlisle and warm weather . Hope everyone here is doing great. Miss you all. I'll try to kick myself in the butt and pop in more .

Good to hear from you Jackie.   :2thumbs:

My best to Shelby, that is really scary.  It sounded vaguely familiar so I had to look it up.  That is one rare condition!  I remember seeing a case of a lady on one of those medical case file shows who had this and lost most of her skin from it but she recovered.  This was an extreme case though, it is TV afterall.

Is there anyone who can help you with calculating calories to see what your intake vs output is?  You may need a bit of a boost here to adjust your metabolism.  If not pm me so I can try to help.  I'm finishing a degree in exercise science and although I do know a good bit about nutrition, there are people I see daily that know a whole lot more.  I am more than happy to pick their brains but they'll need some info such as current diet and activity level (that includes daily living activities).
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Dino, Yes, it is very rare. They caught Shelby's before her's blistered and her skin started falling off. Yes, it does happen. And can lead to death. She said her skin hurt, burnt and itched so bad. So wanted to rip it off. It was miserable. It starts with flu like symptoms 2 days before the rash. That's way it is missed a lot of times. Lucky Shelby has a friend that is a nurse. She knew what it was. And told her to get her butt to the ER asap. I'll send you a PM about the my stomach issues. Thanks so much for your help. It gets frustrating at times.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around. Back to losing weight. I'm down to 85 lbs again.  :brickwall:  . Back to specialist and tests. Still more testing to go. Also being sent to an oncologist, just to make sure there isn't cancer. Right now , they know I have a disease call Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome. It is the rarest gastrointestinal disease in the world. Go figure. The good side I'm allowed to eat all the ice cream and milkshakes or anything I want. The doc said if I don't put on at least 5 lbs this month. He is putting me on a feeding tube. And my duodenum loop is thicking where your body absorbs all your nourishment. So more testing. Well, that's my update. I'm still trying to process all of this. And Barry/ Alaskan T/A , thanks for the giant box of chocolate covered bacon. Love it !

Eat it all yourself kiddo! No sharing, you need all the calories you can get right now.

I'm hanging in there . Thanks for thinking of me. I had a great time at Carlisle. Got to see some of the great members from DC.com:2thumbs:  I got 2nd with the Challenger and Shelby got 3rd with the Turbo Z in young guns.  I was pretty beat. I slept for a week. I had a little scare last Sunday. Spent 12 hrs in the ER. I was throwing up blood. But I'm. Ok now. I got to U Penn in Philly to see the specialist on Aug. 20th. Back down to 84 lbs. So, they are saying next step is a feeding tube to get weight on me. I don't weigh enough for surgery. Wish me luck.  :2thumbs:

Too bad you live in a state that's apparently not receptive to other forms of medication to help with the appetite.   :RantExplode:

About a year ago I lost 60 lbs. from mouth problems.  My wife was worried I would have something happen again & be in the hospital with no weight to give up.  So I started eating ice cream every night.  Now, I have an ice cream problem.   :icon_smile_big:
