The editing on a lot of those old race films is pretty sketchy.
There is one of those old Car & Track videos with Bud Lindeman where LeeRoy Yarbrough is driving a W-nose Cyclone in one shot and then a '69 Talladega in the next one.

now not so sure ! screen capture dont show much detail & not in focus !
cant think what else would have a front end like that !  although think im seeing a camino now  77 firebird front  
maybe ive just been looking at these old back in the day videos & pictures too much , &  seeing things that  are not there
