Saw this on Moparts. http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/pts/3333151371.html. Hell of a price. How about we all chip in a few dollars and buy it for the site?  ;)

I'll post it also in the for sale section.

If 2680 is the 10,000 day date code on the trans, thats Nov 28, 1968....I was confused by the seller stating it was out of a 70 b-body...

Is this a known car??

Probably a replaced tail?  :scratchchin:  Easy enough to fix.

no, I think the seller is wrong with the date, so the 1 mounting location is correct for a 69...

Not a car I know of, but oddly enough it is in a batch of 9 440 powered 500's that are all 4 speeds. Well I should point out they aren't all consecutive VIN's but in the order of ones I know of anyways. $975 for the transmission doesn't sound bad. I'll be calling on that one later. Anyone in that area of the country that could pick it up for me and then I could get it shipped here?

That's like calling the rods in a '70/'71 6bbl and 4bbl 440 "six pack rods". They are just bigger rods compared to the '69-earlier RB's.....  Guess you could say the 6bbl 440's of '70 and '71 have "4bbl rods"......    But, that just doesn't sound cool.....  :icon_smile_cool:

Yep, much more accurate.
