Well you will need to pick up the current issue of Hot Rod Magazine for the adventure.  But I'll show you some pictures.

1969 Charger 500, Hemi car with a 4-speed.  B5 blue, blue interior.

There was also the 67 Hemi GTX 4-speed car in front of it.

He also had rows of Mopars... including a 64 Fury Max Wedge Car.

In the first trailer... he had is dual 4-bbl collection

Then he showed me his 1st Gen Hemi collection....

AND then we entered the barn that he boarded up in 1994 because someone broke in.

Some Uber rare NASCAR early 426 Hemi Stuff

Made the cover of Hot Rod this month.... as though you guys will notice that!

So just another boring adventure.  If you want to see the pictures from the ENTIRE EXPEDITION.  Click the link below.

I wouldn't mind waking up where he's at every morning.  But, I'd be selling some stuff to fix up some of those cars.

Don't get the idea that this sort of find is common.  It made the cover of "Hot Rod" for good reason, it's pretty rare.

There's still a lot of single cars & engines out in the rural areas of the USA if you are willing to pay for it.  Even the most backward toothless rednecks know that muscle-era stuff is worth a lot now.  There's a lot of them just holding onto one car because they like having something everyone else wants.

These guys will never restore the car the are sitting on.  But the mere fact that they have a car way out of their own price range means they probably got it decades ago, which means the owner is getting up in years now.  Eventually they die and the car gets sold off.  If we're lucky it's still restorable by then.

And anyone who hoards like this guy for this long definitely isn't into the selling thing too much.  Not a slam on him and I could be wrong, he might be all about selling, I'm just saying that typically if he has accumulated all of this and kept it hidden from sight for all those years, he probably isn't ready to share much beyond this pictorial right now.

Ryan, yet another awesome adventure.  :2thumbs:

What did the owner think when you told him pictures will be in Hot Rod?

The guy was very happy to hear that the article would be in Hot Rod.  Hopefully my excitement wears off on him and he does something with a few of the projects.

For the mean time the stuff will sit.  But maybe someday he will start moving some stuff to get some cash or projects going.

This guy needs to shit or get off the pot.  Sell/trade or whatever, but don't let these parts turn to dust.

I like Hot Rod quite a bit.  Obviously, there isn't much Mopar in it, but there's a LOT of tech and some great articles.  They expanded the mag about 6 months ago and it's thick.

Pleasantly surprised by how hot the cover girl is, too...damn.

LOL guys like that will never "do anything" with that stuff, they just want to say that they have it. I think we're also entering a HUGE decline in prices. The baby boomers who have both the love for these cars and the cash to play big are declining in numbers. You've got ever shrinking numbers of car enthusiast as the boomers die off and the hippie liberals take over in fast numbers. If you can get 75K for a mint restored hemi superbird in 20 years, I'll kiss your ass.....just my positive Monday morning outlook on our hobby lol
