Before I go any further, I'm not looking for 50 negative comments about how much everybody hates the General Lee and this horn... I just have a simple question. I sold my Dixie Horn to my buddy and we are trying to install it on his 1998 Chevy Cavalier. We ran the tubing, oiled the compressor and everything the way I always did on my car and when he hits it the compressor is VERY loud. Not the horns, the compressor. We oiled it twice and have blown it several more times and it's still doing it. Could it have something to do with running it through the regular horn button? The factory wires were pretty small but we didn't think it would be a problem, but could that be it?
