Does anyone know for sure? I have seen total production around 392, and 4 speed cars around 39. If 39 is true. What is the breakdown on those 39 as of 440 vs. 426.
Is that available information? I have seen where Chrysler stated making 580 Charger 500's    from an older thread. Any new information on this?

The 392 total is the most widely accepted number.  One of the gurus out there claims to have a document proving a higher number but to date no one has been allowed to see this document and live.

Like it was stated, the 392 is the widely accepted number with the 580-ish number being stated by Galen Govier.. There was breakdown of Charger 500 paint and drivetrain break down a LONG time ago through the Winged Warriors car club which stated there was about 26 or 27 4speed 440 cars.....

But, in reality, I dare to say, the exact number will never be known. Suffice it to say, the 4speeds are by far the least of the transmission variations.

Not any where near my actual list but I am pretty sure I have 39 440 powered 4 speeds in the list. Because total along with Hemi's is something like 60+

Which is still pretty low.  About what percentage would that account for in the total Danny?  (we'll have to compare notes soon)

Will check once I get home, but I think it is about 25-30% of the ones I have full information on.

Message sent. Good info guys. The 60 plus 4 speed cars are new info to me. That's still less than 20 % of the the 392.

Per my notes, taken from a web site (since gone dark) years ago, there were qty 26 4-bbl 4-speeds (440's) and qty 27 8-bbl 4-speeds (Hemi). I put together years ago a table showing the breakout of 2nd gen 4-speeds. I have absolutely no idea if the breakout, or even the totals, are correct.  ;)

Well I only have info on 276 of the 500's. But if you look at the number of those that I have full information on it is about 25% of them that are 4 speed cars. Not sure what the break down is of other R/T's for 69. But on Daytona's I think it's right about 30%. I think it's like 139 out of the 375 that are documented.

Of the 69's registered there are roughly 30% four speeds out of the RT, 500 and Daytona models.  (thats real quick estimating though)
