Trying to set up a 383 4speed & I was wondering about if the pilot bearing holes in these two steel cranks would be deep enough for the trans to fit. Any way to tell? Also wondering if in the first picture what you see in the back of the crank is a pilot bearing or not? Thanks

#1 has a pilot BUSHING in it.

Looks like #2 is drilled for one.

I agree also about pic #1 but it looks to be kind of egg shaped or really worn at the bottom, good luck.

just looks like a ding at the edge of the bushing to me , but it can`t hurt to replace it
