Superbird serial number

Hi

Just a thought.

How come the Superbird given NASCAR serial numbers seem to have very little meaning in the MOPAR world.
Other makes seem to promote their given limited (NASCAR) production numbers, such as Mustang Boss 429 using the given NASCAR KK production number etc (there are many more).

I guess the Daytona has a similar number? But I have never heard these numbers being used to explain a particular car etc.  :shruggy:

It's a shame because I believe they add importance, mystique, excitement and relevance to the car.

Gary, are you talking about the numerical numbers off the 1920 car VIN list?     In other words, "car number 47 off the Superbird list"?

Yes, the serial numbers listed in the NASCAR program book etc.
