Is there any difference between a regular charger taillite housing asm or a R/T model? thanks

There are 2 different style housings though.  The difference is in where the bulb sockets go.  Some of the "shields" are longer than others.   This might be an early/late design feature.

As Shakey stated above, there is no difference between R/T & non
