Even though the exhaust on the charger sound really goo... I want to make it louder and meaner. What are my options.  how big can i go with the exhaust tubing, advantages and disadvantages of diff. sizes. I was thinking about using one of the following mufflers but I can't decide
-Dynomax (ultra flow, or bullet (race only))
-Borla (XR-1 sportsman Race muffler)
-Moroso (spiralflow)
-Hooker (Aero chamber)
-Thrush (glass pack)
-Flowtech (Purple hornies)
-Magnaflow (Race series)
-Dynatech (split flow)
-Flowmaster (Outlaw Race (race only))

these are only a few that i have seen... what would be the advantage of using a race only? Would i get pulled over?

Just wondering trying to plan

A V8 will never sound like a rice burners 4 or 6 cylinder no matter what muffler is used,  If  you want real  loud try open headers ,but then you would only be  driving for 1/2 a mile on the street before being PULLED OVER BUY A NICE  POLICE  officer !

What size engine and combo? A big block for the street might like 2/ 12". A 318 would do better with 2". Most of the noise would come from the muffler style. Put and X-pipe in the system so you can start it at home without killing small animals and I would go with the Dynomax Race Magnums. They are a straight through design that Deputies hate wide open but can't touch you when you are part throttle. Those Race Magnums are almost like running open headers when wide open. Oh, also, dump your exhaust under the car with turn downs after the mufflers. You can be heard for around three blocks away. Trust me....SSSHHHHH.....LOL   Darn cops!!!
If it ain't wide open; it ain't running.        Rule number one in motocross racing: Pin it; row the gear box; and wait until you hit something.     At work my motto is: If you need me, call someone else.

Slim, talking loud and saying nothing ain't worth a damn, you should be concerned that the exhaust is compatible with your engine and allows your engine to perform the best it can, if your all about just making noise you may be put on the spot by a import that has there shit together, here's a chart of recommended exhaust size.

Chryco Psycho

going too big can cost HP due to loss of velocity 2.5-3" seems to best for 440s
I like th ehOoker Aeros , good construction , nice sound & not restictive
