the speedometer needle in my 69 road runner jumps back and forth when i drive it.  it seems to be worse when i first start it up and start driving, then after a bit its not bad.  its also worse at lower speeds. it jumps around back and forth pretty fast, but evens out as you pick up speed.  It seems to be pretty acurate once you're going, but it just kinda twitches down the highway.  Any ideas what would cause this?

Lubricate the cable with some lightweight grease.  Chrysler used to make a lube specifically for speedo cables, I doubt anybody else still makes a speedometer cable lube.

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.
