According to the NASCAR listing, Superbirds after about 158600 would have had solid drive fans. (The last column is the date the birds were received at Clairpointe.)

So a 16xxxx Bird having a 16 Fan & 70 Fan spa on its BS is not absolute, because the TSB my have came down after the printing/typing of its BS, but before the cars final line assembly before Clairpointe?

So a correction on the BS was not important, ...just superseded by a TSB?

My 'Bird is 158632 and has aluminium fan spacer. The fan is solid and looks to be the original one. The photo show part number, does this look correct?

I need to check what's on mine - between my first one and my current one, one had a clutch, the other was solid - just don't remember which one had what. Also - I remember there was some kind of dealer bulletin instructing them to change out the clutch setup with the solid setup if there were cooling issues.....that would have been done early in the cars life.
And yes - spacers should be natural unpainted.
